A police patrol noticed the high-roof station wagon, which was only driving on the rear right rim, around 10:40 a.m. on the L1274. They gave chase, with the driver of the desolate company car stepping on the gas and driving at a significantly higher speed to the B1 in the municipal area of Gampern (Vöcklabruck district). There the officials were able to stop the young man.
The 21-year-old said that he had probably “hit somewhere” a few kilometers ago. He knows that the tire is broken and is on his way to work. An alcohol test showed a value of 1.02 per mille. It also turned out that the young man only had a moped driver’s license. He can now expect several reports, the police said on Saturday afternoon.
