Weather forecast: Changeable, rainy – but warmer

The weather remains changeable and it rains, but at least the temperatures are climbing again. Towards the end of the week, maximum values ​​of up to 20 degrees Celsius are expected, announced the Central Institute for Meteorology and Geodynamics (ZAMG) in their forecast on Sunday. The sun will also show up.

Monday

On Monday, some compact cloud fields will be noticeable in the south and south-east until early afternoon, after which they will gradually loosen up more and more often. In the rest of Austria the sun shines at least at times, even if there are cumulus clouds in the sky at times. The west and north have the most sunshine. The wind is weak to moderate, along and north of the Danube also brisk, from south to west. In the morning the temperatures are between minus ten and plus one degree Celsius, in the afternoon between five and twelve degrees Celsius.

Tuesday

On Tuesday the sky will mostly be gray in grey, at times rain is to be expected. The snow line rises to 1,000 to 1,600 meters above sea level over the course of the day. It remains dry in the south and south-east, especially in the south the sun even shines at times. The wind blows weak to moderate, brisk to strong in the north and east, from south to west. The early temperatures are between minus four and plus seven degrees Celsius, the afternoon temperatures between seven and 16 degrees Celsius.

Wednesday

On Wednesday, the eastern Alps are still in a westerly current, during the day warm and cold fronts pass in quick succession, but weaken significantly. This means that it will rain in the morning, especially in the north-east. During the day the sun will appear widely, before some cumulus clouds with rain showers will come up from the north-west in the afternoon. In the north it rains for a longer period of time, on the south side of the Alps it remains mostly rain-free. The snow line varies between 1,400 and 1,800 meters above sea level. The wind blows lightly, moderately to briskly in the north and east, from the south to west. Early temperatures are expected to be between zero and ten degrees Celsius, afternoon temperatures between eleven and 19 degrees Celsius.

Thursday

On Thursday, the first foothills of another disturbance with a few clouds and raindrops will reach the eastern Alps in a tight westerly flow during the day. During the day it is always sunny for longer periods, especially towards the south. During the evening hours a cold front will reach the west and north of Austria with heavy rain. The westerly wind will also freshen up here again. The morning temperatures are between zero and ten degrees, the maximum daily temperatures between eleven and 20 degrees.

Friday

On Friday, north of Austria, there will be a fault zone in the continuing westerly current and it will be wavy. With the exception of the south, there will be a lot of clouds during the day, regionally it will rain again and again, and the warm air will remain mild at all altitudes. A strong westerly wind blows in the north. The early temperatures will be between two and ten degrees, the maximum daily temperatures in the east will be up to 20 degrees.
