It was not until winter that Klaus Hammer was presented as the successor to Mario Pilz as coach at the Landesliga-Ost-Club USV St. Ulrich. After a 4-0 defeat at the start of the second half of the season against the Blau-Weiss Linz amateurs, it was already over for the 62-year-old.
A prominent coach should now save St. Ulrich from relegation: Andreas Milot, ex-coach of the second division team, Forward Steyr. The 52-year-old still has to be patient when it comes to his debut: the game in Bad Leonfelden was canceled at the weekend due to the corona virus, and on Saturday it’s home against Schwertberg. “I’ve turned them down more than once because I was under contract with Vorwarts. Now it worked,” says Milot, who opens a new chapter after leaving Steyr: “It wasn’t that easy at first because it was for me was incomprehensible.”

After his voluntary step back into the second row, he was suddenly no longer needed as an assistant coach under neo-coach Daniel Madlener. “The team needed fresh impetus, I voluntarily went into the second row, but wanted to stay there. That was also assured to me. But after two minutes of talking to Madlener, it was clear that there was no further cooperation.”
But Milot has no grudges: “I’m still going to the forward place, I’m looking forward to my new task.”
