The search portal www.familienurlaub.info, which specializes in family-friendly excursion destinations, has awarded a prize for the most popular family excursion tips. The award was presented for the second time this year. The evaluation was based on 6.7 million ratings from large portals such as Google and Facebook, but also from families on family excursion.info.
The Bohemian Forest Park in Ulrichsberg was chosen as Upper Austria’s destination of the year 2022. Children, parents and grandparents can spend an “active” day together on a total outdoor area of 77 hectares. Various games and sports are offered for the whole family.
The 3D archery park in Bad Zell is happy about fifth place. There are 22 or 33 3D targets in the forest and on the meadow. There is also an indoor course with 15 3D targets and an archery cinema.
The zoo in Altenfelden came in seventh in Upper Austria with over 1,000 animals of more than 200 species. With this large number and an area of 80 hectares, it is the largest private animal park in Austria. Exotic animals, such as the fastest land predators in the world, feel just as at home in the Mühlviertel as old domestic and farm animal breeds.
The archery center Breitenstein, Kirchschlag near Linz also made it into the top ranking with tenth place.
