He does not give good marks to the state’s energy consumption records: Currently, all buildings owned by the state real estate company and used by state offices are recorded here, but not buildings of the state holding company. “It is necessary to present the energy data in full, there is a lack of large consumers such as hospitals,” says LRH Director Friedrich Pammer.
The State Audit Office praised the state’s renovation projects: Total energy consumption is falling, even though the usable space has grown by 20 percent since 2005. Six building objects were assessed on the basis of their consumption parameters. Objects in passive house standard in particular did not meet expectations and also consumed too much electricity. “Renovated buildings, on the other hand, are close to the target values,” says Pammer.
