The initially unknown driver drove his car at around 9.25 a.m. on Ruflinger Straße in Pasching in the direction of Ochsenstraße. Suddenly the car stopped, someone pointed a gun out of the driver’s window and shot a crow across the oncoming lane.
A subsequent 37-year-old driver from the Linz-Land district, who was traveling with his 35-year-old wife and two children (4 and 6 years old), just wanted to overtake the car. The driver left the dead crow behind and continued towards Leonding. The family was shocked and filed a complaint.
Due to extensive investigations by officials from the Pasching Police Inspectorate, a 74-year-old from the Linz-Land district has now been identified as the shooter. The man confessed, but said he didn’t see any other car. He is reported to the public prosecutor’s office in Linz for endangering his physical safety.
