Good news for all Upper Austrian companies: The submission deadline for the Pegasus, the most important business prize in the state, has been extended. Companies that have not yet taken their chance can apply for one more week, until April 15, at www.nachrichten.at.
Entries can be made in five categories: beacons, success stories, innovation champions, hopes for the future and “Entrepreneur/Manager of the Year”.
Among others, Hammerer Aluminum Industries from Ranshofen (Managing Director: Rob van Gils) from: According to its own information, HAI is now the largest medium-sized company in the aluminum processing industry in Europe. In the 15 years since it was founded, it has expanded from one to eight locations in four countries.
The manufacture of aluminum products is an energy-intensive process: in order to reduce the CO2 footprint, as much recycling material and green electricity as possible should be used. By 2025, CO2 emissions are to be reduced by 25 percent (compared to 2019).

The family-run Linz software company MIC (Managing Director: Alfred Hiebl) advertised: Since it was founded more than 30 years ago, it has developed into a specialist for customs software that is in demand worldwide. 450 employees are employed. A lot is currently being invested in artificial intelligence and data analysis in order to be able to offer customers an even higher degree of automation.
