Two injured girls after a mass brawl in the old town of Linz

At around 1:45 a.m. on Sunday, the police were called to a brawl in the old town in which around 30 people are said to have been involved. The caller said on the spot that those involved had already fled. A short time later, a 16-year-old woman from Linz and her 17-year-old friend were found injured next to a bar.

The two girls stated that there had previously been a verbal argument with another woman in a bar. Then everyone involved left the restaurant, which led to a fight.

A man hit her on the head two or three times with a glass bottle. The 17-year-old was injured in the face and arm by a woman with a glass bottle. The investigation is ongoing.
