There was a lot of excitement early on Sunday afternoon in the tranquil town of Bad Leonfelden (Urfahr area): numerous police officers and members of the Cobra special unit were on duty in the town centre, and the main square was cordoned off. This was due to shots fired after a family quarrel.
A 29-year-old came home drunk around 2 p.m. and got into an argument with his mother. He got so angry that his frightened mother locked herself in the living room and called the police. A short time later, she dialed 911 again because her son had just fired shots with a gun.
Upon arrival, the police officers noticed the smell of powder smoke, which is why the Cobra task force was notified. Until he arrived, the police secured the mother’s apartment, who suspected the son to be in the attic. The task force finally caught the 29-year-old in his room. The weapon – it is a stun gun – including ammunition was secured, nobody was injured, the police said on Sunday evening.
