According to the police, the strangers smashed a glass emergency glass door with a stone to get inside the new middle school. They blocked the sinks and turned on the faucets in three classrooms located on the first floor of the south wing.
The rooms with parquet floors were under water. As a result, the classes on the ground floor were also badly damaged, according to the Styrian police. The strangers also damaged a screen, a beamer and the copier, and two fire extinguishers were emptied in the school.
Investigators estimate the damage to property at tens of thousands of euros. The perpetrators may have been at school between Friday and Sunday afternoon. According to initial investigations, nothing was stolen.
