The Rieder “Vintage Cycling Club” is dedicated to the glorious past of mountain biking with a very special race on Saturday, April 23rd. The motto: “Bring it back”. The success of mountain bikes around the world began in the 1980s.
The 26-inch steel bikes of the time are to be brought out of the basement for the first retro mountain bike race in the Innviertel. Anyone who has a steel bike at home can take part in the race, which starts at 2.14 p.m. at the outdoor pool in Ried.
In addition to the main competition, there is also a charity race that starts at 1:30 p.m. All bikes are eligible to start in this race. The proceeds benefit the Rieder Kinderschutzhaus (RIKI). The entry fee is 30 euros.
