Alkolenker came towards us on the wrong side of the road
A 74-year-old from the Ried im Innkreis district drove her car on Hausruck Straße coming from Eberschwang in the direction of Ried. At road kilometer 22.6 in the Antiesen area, a car, driven by a 24-year-old Pole, came towards her on her side of the road. The 74-year-old tried to swerve to the left with her car. At the same time, however, the 24-year-old also tore his car onto the other side of the road, which resulted in a head-on collision. Both cars were thrown against a bus stop next to the road. Both drivers and the passenger of the 24-year-old had to be taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. An alcohol test by the Poles resulted in a blood alcohol level of 1.68.
