Anyone standing in front of the life-size Tyrannosaurus Rex statue in Dinoland Katzenberg can at least guess how frightening an actual encounter with the predator from the Cretaceous period would have been. From now on, visitors to the new attraction in Kirchdorf am Inn can not only encounter what is probably the most well-known dinosaur, but also around 70 other primeval giants.

Dinoland on the grounds of Katzenberg Castle is celebrating its grand opening today. The entire park has been specially redesigned around the dinosaur statues. In addition to a circular route, on which boards in front of the figures or optionally an audio tour on the smartphone provide interesting information, up-and-coming paleontologists can let off steam in numerous other activities.

In addition to balancing paths, a rope swing and a play tower, children can, for example, do their rounds on dinosaur scooters in the “Dinodrom”. In the quarry, prospective archaeologists knock fossils out of the rock. There is also the possibility to climb on the backs of some dinosaurs. And there are several tasks to solve on the big Dino Rally, which runs through the whole area. Whoever completes them all gets a research pass.
