64-year-old was thrown from a horse-drawn carriage

The man lost consciousness for a few minutes and was taken to the Wels Clinic with injuries. At least one of the horses was injured in the hind leg, the police reported in a broadcast on Friday.

The man wanted to turn the carriage in a confined space, but the drawbar probably got blocked and caused the carriage to tip over on its side. The man’s 54-year-old wife jumped off and tried to grab the horses by the bridle, but she couldn’t. The team therefore sped away sideways on two wheels.

As the horses made a 90-degree turn, the driver was thrown off the ground and sustained unspecified injuries. At least one of the horses was also injured when the team raced towards the horse farm without a driver and collided with two cars.
