Easter peace with the Royals: Harry and Meghan visited the Queen

The couple have visited Harry’s grandmother, as he had previously hoped, a spokeswoman for the couple said on request on Thursday evening. The two would have made a stop in Harry’s home on the way to the Invictus Games in The Hague. The Paralympic Games for Disabled Soldiers begin on Saturday in The Hague. Harry created the Invictus Games in 2014.

British tabloids reported the couple also met Harry’s father, Prince Charles, who was at Windsor Castle for the traditional Maundy Thursday ceremony. It was not announced whether Harry and Meghan also had their children Archie (almost 3) and Lilibet (10 months) with them. However, it had already been said before that the children would not travel to Europe. The Queen has yet to meet the great-granddaughter, who is named after her own nickname.

The visit is still considered a peace gesture: the relationship between Meghan and Harry, who gave up their royal duties two years ago and have been living in the United States for a long time, and the royal family are considered to be heavily burdened. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have repeatedly complained about inhumane pressure and racism at the palace.
