A motorcycle trip to the Innviertel ended for two Germans in the hospital on Friday: the two men were traveling with six other bikers on the Hagenauer Landesstraße in the direction of Geinberg when the serious accident occurred around 12:30 p.m.

The 47-year-old in front wanted to turn left near the village of Gimpling in the municipality of Mühlheim am Inn (Ried im Innkreis district) and reduced his speed. Emergency helicopter in use
The 56-year-old fell and sustained such serious injuries that he had to be taken to the hospital in Salzburg by ambulance helicopter. His colleague, who was also injured, was taken to the hospital in Braunau, the police said on Friday afternoon.

It was only on Thursday that a motorcycle accident – as reported – claimed one fatality in the Amstetten district: According to police reports, a man from the Steyr-Land district fell on his bike, slid across the street and crashed into a tree.
