The closure of the Westbahnbrücke on the B143 keeps the emergency services on their toes. As reported, the bridge in Vöcklabruck will be renovated for seven months. This is associated with a total closure of the Hausruck federal highway from March 2nd to September 30th. Detours have been set up (see below in the article). Nevertheless, the fire brigade has had to move out to rescue trucks several times since the closure.
On Friday it was that time again: A truck driver should have been guided by his navigation device via a forest road on Altmannsberg, according to initial information. The result: the heavy vehicle got stuck. The emergency services, who were alerted at 10:30 a.m., were able to recover the truck using two cable winches and returned almost three hours later. “It’s been happening more often lately,” says OÖN when asked by the fire department. The municipality has put up signs, but it happens again and again that road users get lost on the Altmannsberg. “It’s very narrow up there,” said one firefighter.
