A 17-year-old from the Steyr-Land district drove her car on the Eisenstraße towards Ternberg at around 10:15 p.m. on Saturday. In the local area of Ternberg, a shuttle bus had stopped in front of a discotheque on the right-hand lane at that time to let disco-goers get off. In order to get to the party venue, you have to cross the road. A security employee secured the road for a short time.
After most of the visitors had crossed the street, the bus driver drove away in the direction of Losenstein. At that time, a 21-year-old and a 24-year-old, both from the Steyr-Land district, wanted to cross the street behind the bus and ran directly in front of the 17-year-old’s car. This could no longer be avoided and a collision occurred, throwing the pedestrians onto the adjacent sidewalk.
The 24-year-old suffered serious injuries as a result and was admitted to the Kepler University Hospital after receiving first aid from an emergency doctor. The 21-year-old was also injured and taken to the Steyr Clinic.
