“Public Health tells us that the decline in the virus will continue for the next four or five months and this is very encouraging news. It has to be a sustained decline, that is what Health informed us,” added the official.

Days ago, the director of Health Surveillance, Guillermo Sequera, said that Paraguay is entering a stage in which the inhabitants must learn to live with the coronavirus, because it will be “competing” with other respiratory viruses.
Along the same lines, he mentioned that coronavirus vaccines do not help prevent new waves, but they do help prevent serious cases of the disease and avoid hospitalizations, which put pressure on the local health system at the time.
