2:1 victory over SKN St. Pölten
Wale Musa Alli broke the spell against SKN St. Pölten on Good Friday evening with a header in the 52nd minute and gave SKU Amstetten a 1-0 lead. The guests from the state capital were not impressed by the deficit, they equalized with Julian Keiblinger’s goal, which had used a cross pass on the second post, to make it 1-1 (57th). Marco Stark scored the winning goal in front of 970 spectators before the final whistle in the 87th minute to make it 2-1.
The first 30 minutes in Kapfenberg was more boring than ever. Nothing happened on the field. Until Alin Roman looked for a duel in the Styrian penalty area, duped his opponent and scored the 1-0 for the SKU. Kapfenberg continued to sleep, the Amstettners became more alert: After two missed chances, Stefan Urlaub headed the ball into the goal in the 43rd minute to win 2-0 away. His goal celebration was also remarkable, with the epitome of a jump on the pitch. Kapfenberg woke up in the second half, but the Amstettner defense was too strong, even for a consolation goal. The SKU Amstetten is now fourth in the table with 44 points.
