It was just after eleven o’clock in the evening on March 26th when the trio attacked the 31-year-old and injured him so badly with punches and kicks that he later had to be operated on at the Wels Clinic. When the young man lay unconscious on the ground, the perpetrators also snatched his wallet.
On site, the seriously injured could only say that the perpetrators were three men. After his operation in the Wels Clinic, he could only remember fragments of the incident and could not give the police any useful information.
The robbery has now been clarified in an extensive investigation. The suspects are two 18-year-olds from Wels and the Kirchdorf district and a 16-year-old Romanian from the Vöcklabruck district, the police said a good three weeks after the attack. The trio confessed and were taken to Wels Prison.
