At a time when numbers determine our daily coexistence, the newly formed Kulturforum Bad Zell is particularly happy about one number: 40. This Friday, culture weeks will be held in the spa town for the 40th time. Since its first edition in 1977, the culture weeks have attracted around 100,000 visitors with cultural delicacies in a wide variety of flavors. In line with the concept of this series, a dialogue between tradition and modernity will be held for two months in the anniversary year.
For example, two concert evenings will delight friends of classical music: the Festival Sinfonietta under the direction of Liu Chan with soprano Iva Schell will perform the opening concert on Friday. The ensemble Musica Sonare can also be heard. With the formation “Die Punte”, jazz trombonist Martin Puntigam lets hits from music history sound in fresh tones. The cabaret artist Christoph Fritz brings his debut program “The Youngest Face” to the stage in Bad Zell.
Eva Reisinger and Johanna Schmidt provide literary women’s power at a tavern reading. A photo exhibition by Sebastian Fröhlich “OSTEND and other directions”, the presentation of Zita Eder’s book “Do you know the place…” and Nikolaus Habjan’s version of “Der Herr Karl” round off the program.
