This supports people in need during a temporary financial bottleneck or provides start-up assistance for a new life situation.
In close cooperation with the social workers of the city of Steyr, the BH Steyr-Land and the regional social organizations, micro-cash assistance of up to 1500 euros is lent out. This amount must be repaid over a maximum period of 24 months without interest. The closest cooperation developed with the eviction prevention of the Wohnen Steyr association, with whose advisors more than half of the microcredits were processed.
Since May 2020, 27 men and women have been supported with microcredits totaling 34,000 euros. More than half of this has already been repaid.
