US police officers arrest a boy for stealing a packet of potato chips

One of the citizens who approached asked a cash: “What are you going to do?”. To which the officer replied: “Guess what I’m doing!”

“He looks like a baby to me. I don’t know what you’re doing. What is happening then?”, the civilian continued, to which the companion replied that “He is stealing things. If he breaks into your house…”.

“No man! Because he stole a bag of chips, so you have to treat him like a fucking cold-blooded criminal? ”, He continued with the questioning.

After this, the officers were blunt and told him to mind his own business and let the police do their job: “Keep walking.”

The criticism on Twitter grew to large scales, as did the outrage on an intentional level. Given this, a statement was issued to explain what happened and to announce the measures to be taken.

“We are aware that a video was shared on social media involving several of our officers and minors accused of shoplifting from a store on the north side of town. The incident, including officer actions and body cameras, is being reviewed.”detailed the authorities.

“There is some misinformation related to this case. The minor suspected of theft was not handcuffed. He was placed in the back of a patrol unit where he was taken directly home. Officers met with the father of the child and did not appear. charges”closed the message.
