The 18 concerts of the festival will take place from June 11th to July 31st in the monasteries of St. Florian, Kremsmünster, Lambach and Wilhering.

Together with the artistic director Rico Gulda and the young managing director David Hemetsberger, they want to develop the festival further. This year, in addition to the traditional orchestral and chamber music concerts, there will be an open-air brass brunch with the trio “Wieder, Gansch und Paul” (June 26th, 11:30 a.m.) in the St. Florian monastery St. Florian for the first time a concert with award winners from the young talent competition “prima la musica” on the program. Young people up to the age of 18 can visit every concert for one euro.
There will also be a premiere at the opening concert on 11./12. June in St. Florian: Shooting star Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, who has already appeared as a violinist at the monastery concerts, conducts the Bruckner Orchestra for the first time. The festival motto is “New Age(s)”, says Gulda: “Music helps us to overcome speechlessness in dark times.” A total of 7200 tickets will be issued, the festival budget is 300,000 euros. According to Hemetsberger, only 3,000 tickets were sold last year due to the pandemic. Advance sales begin on May 9th.
