A fatal traffic accident occurred on Thursday around 7:30 p.m. in the municipality of Gunskirchen. A 47-year-old from the Wels-Land district drove from Irnharting towards the L1249. Her 69-year-old father from the Linz-Land district was in the passenger seat. At the same time, a 63-year-old from the Wels-Land district was driving her car on the L1249 in the direction of Offenhausen. The two vehicles collided at the intersection for an unknown reason.
The 63-year-old’s vehicle was thrown against the opposite bridge railing, rolled over several times and came to rest on an embankment on the roof. The 47-year-old’s car was also thrown against the bridge railing and stopped there.
Immediately following vehicle drivers, including a general practitioner and an intensive care nurse, immediately provided first aid to the 63-year-old. The resuscitation attempts, which were taken over by the rescue service and the emergency doctor, unfortunately had to be stopped after an hour without success. The woman died at the scene of the accident due to her severe injuries. The 47-year-old and her father suffered injuries and were taken to the Wels Clinic.
