With the new fully electric EV6 GT, the Korean car manufacturer Kia has now presented its new top model. The whisper-quiet crossover model has two electric motors with a system output of 430 kW (585 hp). All-wheel drive is on board to ensure that there is no loss of traction.
The most powerful Kia series model to date, which will be available at the end of the year at prices starting at 70,690 euros, has a battery with a capacity of 77.4 kilowatt hours. The manufacturer speaks of a range of up to 424 kilometers.
Thanks to the 800-volt technology, the battery is charged at lightning speed: the Kia EV6 GT “fills up” with the high-performance fast charger (charging capacity up to 240 kW) under ideal conditions in five minutes for 100 kilometers. And in just 18 minutes, the battery should be charged from ten to 80 percent, promises Kia.
But the Kia EV6 can also deliver electricity – with an output of up to 3.6 kW. For example, electric bicycles or other electric vehicles can be charged.
