A 13-year-old from the Schärding district rode his bicycle across the parking lot of a shop on Alfred-Kubin-Strasse in Schärding around 5 p.m. on Friday. At the same time, an elderly woman reversed her yellow Fiat from a parking space and hit the boy’s bicycle, causing him to fall.
The unidentified woman opened the window of her vehicle and asked how she was, and the 13-year-old told her that he had pain in his foot. The woman then left the parking lot in her car in an unknown direction. The boy finally made his way home and informed the father, who took him to the hospital for an outpatient examination.
Any witnesses who can provide information about the registered owner of the yellow FIAT, a smaller model and with an SD license plate, are asked to contact the Schärding Police Inspectorate on 059133/4270.
