Police ignore: women who drink alcohol are difficult to stop

In Steyr, a witness observed on Saturday evening how shortly after 9 p.m. an alcoholic driver (32) stopped her car at a gas station and then informed the police. When the police arrived at the gas station, the drunk woman continued driving. She ignored the red traffic light at an intersection and drove out of town on Ennser Straße. When she noticed the patrol car behind her, the woman from Linz stepped on the gas – she ignored the follow-up horn, blue lights, headlight flasher and stop signal.

At the intersection with Hausleitner Strasse, the woman stopped, put the car in reverse and almost hit the police car. The policeman at the wheel reacted quickly and also reversed. After the 32-year-old hit a delineator with her car, she stopped. An alcohol test showed that he was heavily intoxicated. The woman from Linz first agreed to an alcohol test, but ultimately refused it. Her driver’s license was taken away and she was forbidden to continue driving.
