The children’s choir in Neusserling (municipality of Herzogsdorf) had a successful premiere. At their first appearance in the Marienkirche, the little ones stood up for those who had to flee their homeland and set up a fundraising campaign. Thanks to the help of parents and sponsors, the group of singers collected EUR 1170.60 for the association “Support Ukraine Now Upper Austria”.
Ten elementary school students had the honorable task of delivering the proud sum last Friday. Her choirmaster Angelika Rath is also proud: “It’s nice to see how the children blossom and come out of themselves,” she says.
35 children – from school beginners to fourth graders – include their band of singers. They rehearsed diligently for two months before the group sang in front of an audience for the first time. It was a great pleasure for the little ones that they could also use the concert for a good cause. “Often it only takes an idea and lots of hard-working helpers to be able to achieve something big,” says Angelika Rath.
