Pink government advertising inquiry series

Pink government advertising inquiry series

Reason enough for the Neos to demand “transparency” in written inquiries in Upper Austria about advertising expenditure on “party-affiliated media”.

After all, it’s about “millions” over the years, according to Neos club boss Felix Eypeltauer. Yesterday, Wednesday, the written inquiries went to LH Deputy Christine Haberlander and Economics Minister Markus Achleitner (both VP).

In addition to her government function, Haberlander is also the state chairwoman of the ÖAAB; she also had government advertisements for her department placed in its members’ magazine “Contact”. Im ooh Business association magazine “Wirtschaft im Blick” in turn had full-page advertisements for Achleitner. In addition, the state of Upper Austria will be on the website of the oö. Wirtschaftsbund as a “sponsor”, according to Eypeltauer in the request. From both, Haberlander and Achleitner, the Neos now want precise information about the media in which advertising was carried out and how high the expenditure was – broken down since 2015. Achleitner also smugly asked whether the country was also a sponsor of the SP business association, the Green Economy and the Ring of Freedom Entrepreneurs.

Responses must be made within two months.
