A male player from Linz cracked the Lotto seven-fold jackpot single-handedly on Wednesday evening and received more than 9.8 million euros for this solo six. The sum is the second-highest lottery win in the 35-year history of gambling. The winner had to let the good news sink in for a day, then the man from Linz revealed himself to the lotteries. The high-win supervisor will now contact the “older gentleman” according to the lotteries and advise him.
The success was achieved with the sixth of twelve quick picks played, the computer in an acceptance point in Linz placed the “six correct ones” 8, 9, 28, 34, 40 and 43. A total of 11.9 million picks were submitted for the draw, what the number of six wins rose to almost ten million euros.
