It almost seems as if the designers wanted to release all the joy of color that they had been suppressing for so long in one fell swoop. “Dopamine dressing” – gaudy tones that are supposed to trigger feelings of happiness – is this spring’s fashion trend. In addition to pink and red, orange and yellow, one color in particular is the focus: green. No wonder when you consider that this color stands for hope like no other, for new beginnings and better times. Li Edelkoort, one of the world’s most influential trend forecasters, has even declared it the most important color of the decade.

In the world of fashion, green is only just beginning to really catch on – this is mainly thanks to the luxury label Bottega Veneta and its handbags in “Parakeet”, an artificial-looking shade of green that the stars love – style icon Victoria Beckham combines the bag with a dark blue pantsuit, for example.

But it doesn’t matter whether it’s a small splash of color or an all-over look, whether dark or light, neon or sage: Green puts you in a good mood – and that’s exactly what we need now.
