An investigation into the incident has been launched and will be treated with the highest priority, a British military spokesman said on Tuesday.
The TalkTV channel had previously reported that a few weeks ago, while the Queen was staying at her country estate in Sandringham, east England, a man pretended to be a priest and broke into a Coldstream Guards barracks. The Coldstream Guards are the famous guards with red jackets and black bearskin hats.
In the barracks, the man is said to have eaten with the guards, drunk and finally spent the night there. The morning after, the police were alerted, who got the intruder out, as reported by the “Sun”. A little later, Queen Elizabeth II is said to have returned to Windsor.
