Jack The Ripperl celebrates its first five years

The gastronomic franchise system celebrated its 5th birthday on Monday evening. Not only that was celebrated, but also the fact that the company founded by Johann Roither will expand, for which an investor was able to get on board with winemaker Leo Hillinger through the TV show “2 minutes 2 million”.

The international trend towards hybrid businesses (takeaway/delivery, food on site, shop) was reinforced by the Corona crisis. This circumstance favors gastronomic concepts such as that of Jack The Ripperl, which has now also been made suitable for franchises.

The managing partner Wolfgang Gittmaier is optimistic about the future in view of an 80 percent occupancy rate in the evenings, a high level of customer acceptance and a strong takeaway business in recent years. This not only applies to the Linz restaurant, but also to “many other locations in Austria and, if possible, abroad”.

Founder Roither is particularly pleased to be able to roll out the concept, because it has always been the goal to establish Jack The Ripperl nationally and internationally. “We are therefore firmly convinced that this will not only work very successfully in Linz, but also everywhere else,” says Roither.

In addition to Hillinger whiskey producer Peter Affenzeller, many gastro colleagues such as Edi Altendorfer, Rene Füreder, Manuel Grabner, Heinz Hanner and Hotspots board member Michael Nell, SV Ried president Roland Daxl, Gourmetfein manager Franz Oberndorfer, Black Wings President Peter Nader, Brau Union Sales Director Josef Paukenhaider, Genussland OÖ Managing Director Margit Steinmetz-Tomala, WKOÖ Fachruppen Managing Director Stefan Praher or wine merchant Hannes Wakolbinger.
