More than 600 active people took part in this year’s Attnanger running weekend. The highlights of the various competitions were the Austrian championships in the 10-kilometer road race held as part of the city run, as well as the Upper Austria. championships.

With one of the fastest times ever run for women (33:09 minutes), the favorite Julia Mayer (DSG Vienna) secured the national championship title as expected. But the men also made a lot of speed. With the best time of 29:46 minutes and thus a new personal best, Markus Hartinger (LTV Köflach) took the win. The competitions for the oö. State championship titles went to Isaac Kosgei (Union decathlon) and Bernadette Schuster (SK Vöest) from the Mühlviertel region.

At the organizer association LCAV Jodl Packaging, the women shone with silver in the ÖM team ranking (Leyla Reshed, Amelie Muss, Katharina Steiner), the men’s U18 team got bronze. Alexander Bründl and Leyla Reshed took the city run classification and thus also the lead in the City Grand Prix.

The organizers were also satisfied with the youngsters: Christina Huemer, Lilly Schweitzer, Emil Roither, Marie Fischer, Samuel Knoll, Noah Schweitzer, Hannah Kirchweger and Hannah Bruneder achieved victories for the LCAV in their respective age groups. Second places went to Ezinne Enyi, Johanna Hitzl, Niklas Knoll, Marlene Asanger and Lauren Lukas. Florian Asteck, Valentina Burgstaller, Janik Scherndl and Leni Schweitzer each came third.
