Police officers from PI Tumeltsham FGP noticed a parked car on Thursday at around 11:10 p.m. on the market square in Ried, the rear license plate of which had been manipulated. A check found that the license plate had been reported stolen since early April 2022. In addition, the vehicle was already deregistered in August 2021.
A short time later, two men approached the car and tried to drive away. A driver and vehicle check was then carried out. The people were a 29-year-old German citizen and a 17-year-old from the Ried district.
When the two noticed the police officers, the 29-year-old wanted to flee on foot, but was caught a few meters away. During a personal search, 2.5 grams of marijuana were found and seized from the 17-year-old. The two are displayed.
