“How strong will the euro remain in times of high inflation?” “What does the development of interest rates mean for me as a private investor?” “What future can the euro expect?” These are examples of questions that many people are probably asking themselves at the moment.
Few can probably answer these questions as competently as the governor of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank, Robert Holzmann. Born in Styria, the economist has held a wide variety of positions at the world’s top financial institutions over the course of his career. After positions at the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in Washington, Holzmann took over the post of Governor of the Oesterreichische Nationalbank in 2019.
On May 13, the OeNB, together with the OÖN, is organizing the discussion “Red ma übern Euro” in the forum of the Promenaden Galerien. Discuss current and controversial topics related to the euro with Robert Holzmann.
The event begins at 3:30 p.m. Admission is free.
