This government is very happy when people buy weapons

Bolsonaro defended his position in favor of armed society by assuring that “an armed people will never be enslaved” and argued that his government “increasingly” advances “that right.”

“This government is not afraid, quite the contrary, it is very happy when good and responsible citizens seek to buy a firearm,” express.

The leader of the Brazilian extreme right is not the first time that he refers to the subject and whenever he does, it generates controversy.

For example, in August of last year he called on citizens to buy rifles “so as not to be enslaved”, a phrase that raised dust because days later a demonstration was scheduled in different parts of the country to support his management.

“Everyone has to buy a rifle. An armed people will never be enslaved. I know that it is expensive to have one, but there are some idiots who say ‘no, you have to buy beans.’ but don’t break the balls of whoever you want”, he declared.

Previously, in February, he asserted that weapons “are a right” that society must acquire and that in this way “it prevents the current ruler from wanting to be a dictator.”

“Weapons are your right. Weapons prevent the ruler of the day from wanting to be a dictator. I am not afraid of the armed people, on the contrary, I feel very good to be by the side of the well-armed people for our Brazil” , pointed out the president.
