The suspicion is that the man may have based his career choice on his pedophile inclination. In any case, the public prosecutor’s office in Wiener Neustadt states in its indictment that the man completed his training “precisely to satisfy his sexual needs”. He “wanted to live out all his deviant fantasies” and surreptitiously gained his parents’ trust. For years, the man is said to have abused the children of five families he looked after as a childminder, with the incriminated actions increasing in intensity. According to the prosecution, he also used massive violence against the little girls in some cases. There were also regular attacks in his capacity as a sports trainer. The hearing is likely to take place in camera for long stretches.
