The next morning, the first customers were in the store even earlier than the employees. They lined up at the cash register and waited. The police were also in the store earlier than the store manager, who was puzzled. “He saw an officer in civilian clothes, looked at him in amazement and asked politely but firmly what he was doing here. When the officer gave him the explanation, the forgetful manager shouted ‘For God’s sake’ and turned quite pale,” it says in the article.
