The mayors and deputy mayors from Vöcklabruck’s twin towns of Hauzenberg (D), Krumau (CZ) and Slovenj Gradec (SLO) were shown the latest from Vöcklabruck at a two-day meeting. Discussions on topics that affect all partner cities, such as population development and the increasing need for childcare and educational facilities, rounded off the short meeting, at which other possibilities for city cooperation were also discussed.
Mayor Peter Schobesberger sums up the meeting: “There was an excellent exchange with my colleagues from neighboring countries. Whether Slovenia, the Czech Republic or Germany, we all face the same challenges in our offices. There are solutions everywhere that could be valuable for Vöcklabruck.”
