“Inn4tler Sattelfest”: Vintage bikes and e-bikes

The ARBÖ Radsportteam Ried is offering a trip for cycling enthusiasts on Sunday, May 15, under the title “Inn4tler Sattelfest” with start and finish at the Ried brewery. The pleasure trip for vintage bikes and e-bikes leads through the Innviertel in three rounds of different lengths.

The vintage tour is aimed at owners of racing bikes built before 1987 with steel frames, frame gears and pedals with belts. “Our heart beats for vintage bikes, but at the same time the comfort of e-bikes naturally has its advantages. We are therefore creating a platform for everyone together. At the Innviertler Sattelfest this year, e-bikes are welcome for the first time alongside vintage bikes,” says Club chairman Josef Gadermaier.

“The Innviertler Sattelfest is not a bike race, but an enjoyable ride. The focus is not on who reaches the finish line in the Ried brewery the fastest. It’s more about friendship, deceleration and a nice day together,” says Gadermaier.

Three different routes

There are three different circuits for vintage bikes, one for e-bikes and a family circuit for young and old: Schmalz circuit (113 km, 1240 m elevation gain) – start at 8 a.m.; Malz circuit (75 km, 720 m elevation gain) – start at 9 a.m.; Hop circuit (55 km, 540 m elevation gain) – start at 9 a.m.; E-bike tour (55 km, 540 m elevation gain) – start at 10 a.m.; Kracherl round (15 km, 120 m elevation gain) – start at 11 a.m. There will be gravel passages to be overcome on all routes.

Participation in the Kracherl/Family Round is free of charge, you can ride any bike depending on your mood. On the grounds of the Ried brewery, music will be served and there will be a tombola. Registration and further information about the event: www.radsportteam-ried.at.
