2.38 per mille: the bus driver crashed into a car in the city center

The 40-year-old man from the Amstetten district drove a coach on Langgasse in Linz at around 5:45 p.m. When turning into Gesellenhausstraße, he caused a traffic accident with minor damage. The second driver involved asked the police to record the accident because he needed it for his company vehicle.

When the accident was recorded, the police officers noticed that the bus driver was showing clear symptoms of alcoholism, which is why he had to do an alcohol test. The was positive with 2.38 per mille. According to the police, an alcohol test was not possible for the driver’s health, which is why the driver was brought to the medical officer. This certified that he was unfit to drive – his driver’s license was provisionally taken from him and he will be reported.
