New boss at Swietelsky

Management change at Upper Austria’s largest construction group: Peter Krammer will be the new CEO at Swietelsky with headquarters in Linz from April next year. The 56-year-old succeeds Karl Weidlinger, who has been CEO since 2009, will be 64 on May 21 and retire. The leading company announced this in a broadcast yesterday, Wednesday.

Krammer studied civil engineering at the Technical University of Vienna, gained professional experience at Swietelsky and Porr before moving to Strabag in 2005, where he became a member of the board in 2010. Krammer will move to the Swietelsky board on January 1 and will become its chairman from April. His brother is Ventocom boss Michael Krammer.

Swietelsky employs around 12,000 people in 19 countries and achieves an annual construction output of three billion euros.
