ÖEHV team has to nominate a striker for the World Cup

“As a head coach, there are things that you can’t influence. It’s such a situation now. We’re looking ahead and wish Dominic a speedy recovery,” team boss Roger Bader was quoted as saying in the press release. He seems calm and professional, but with Dominic Zwerger he has to choose one of his most dangerous offensive players for the World Cup.

What happened? In last Sunday’s game against Germany, Zwerger received a check from German NHL export Moritz Seider. Austria’s Switzerland legionnaire then complained of dizziness, has not become 100 percent fit to date and has now decided to travel home to be on the safe side.

Simeon Schwinger is a Dornbirn Bulldogs striker who has already scored for the ÖEHV team in the 4-1 win over Poland in preparation for the World Cup. “I am convinced that Simeon Dominic will be excellently represented. This change will not change anything in our planning. The team is working in a very focused manner and we’re looking forward to the start of the World Cup next Saturday,” said Bader.
