The second warmest place in Austria on Thursday was Hartberg in Styria with 31.6 degrees. The measuring station has been here since 1994 and there have been four times higher values. The measured values remained well below 30 degrees in only three federal states, namely in Upper Austria, Vorarlberg and Salzburg.
The highest place with more than 30 degrees – 30.5 exactly – was Dellach in the Drautal at 628 meters above sea level. It was the coolest on the Brunnenkogel in Tyrol at 3,437 meters above sea level with 5.8 degrees.
