110 years ago, the Stern & Hafferl company put its Gmunden-Vorchdorf local railway into operation. Stern & Hafferl and the four communities along the 18-kilometer railway line are therefore inviting you to a big party tomorrow. All passengers have free travel on the route for a whole day. Nostalgic trains will also be on the road. Above all, however, a procession travels from Gmunden to Vorchdorf and stops in each town, where each individual celebration takes place. There are brass music concerts, readings by Erich Langwiesner, cabaret, attractions for children, speeches and of course delicacies.
The party starts tomorrow at 8.50 a.m. at Franz-Josef-Platz in gmunden. From there, the festival guests travel to the stop in two tramlink trains coupled together Gschwandt-School, where the Traunseetram will be toasted from 10.05 a.m. Then the pageant follows Kirchham to the new stop at the sports field, which will be inaugurated at 11.10 a.m. In the terminal station Vorchdorf will be celebrated from 12.20 p.m. at the coach house.
