The police patrol from Schwanenstadt drove yesterday at around 9:20 p.m. on the B1 from Attnang in the direction of Schwanenstadt. When an overtaking ban began, the radio car was overtaken by a car. At this point, the patrol was driving at 100 km/h, and the overtaking vehicle raced past the police car at significantly higher speeds. The car then went far to the left and drove over the restricted area there. The officers immediately began the night drive using the special signal. The speeder overtook another vehicle in the local 70 km/h limit, including no overtaking, and the driver drove over the restricted line there. Here, too, the driver drove at a significantly excessive speed. The patrol caught up with the speeder and signaled him to stop. When entering the roundabout, the driver threw a cigarette out of the vehicle. The 24-year-old from the Wels-Land district was finally stopped and checked. Since an alcohol test revealed 1.7 per mille, his driver’s license was provisionally taken away. He is also reported for several violations of decency, aggressive behavior towards the police officer and his expired assessment badge.
