A previously unknown driver probably drove a car between 8:15 a.m. and 8:40 a.m. on the L534, Marchtrenker Landesstraße in the direction of Weißkirchen/Traun. In a sharp left turn in the municipality of Allhaming, the driver left the roadway for reasons that are still unknown. He drove over a beacon set up at the edge of the road, struck several trees in the adjacent forest before the car came to a standstill in a dense bush in the sloping wooded area after about 30 meters. The driver should have freed himself from the heavily damaged vehicle, locked it and left the scene of the accident. The car was noticed at around 8:40 a.m. by a truck driver who happened to be passing by and who had called the police. A search in the area for the driver was negative.
